Pre/post acquisition commercial due diligence
Companies require fast, accurate feedback on the market position of a target company, prior to recommending an acquisition. An acquisition study will identify whether or not sufficient synergy exists to justify acquisition and where to focus investment in the company to enhance its ability to deliver future profits.
Acquisition / due diligence studies include
- the scale and nature of the market in which the acquisition target operates, including key market segmentations, past and future trends
- market share of acquisition target compared to key competitors, key sectors where active and future market strategies
- key end-user needs and expectations of suppliers, including assessment whether the market is commodity / price driven or service / quality driven.
- assessment of the awareness, image and performance in meeting customer needs of acquisition target compared to key competitive suppliers
- policy recommendations regarding the likely capability of the acquisition target gaining market share, and what actions are required to achieve this
