New product concept - pre-product launch

Client

The client was a joint venture involving two organisations involved in developing a new software solution for commercial applications.

Research Brief

The goal was to identify the scale and nature of the world-wide market for an innovative new software product, and to provide recommendations on optimum design, pricing and when to launch.

Results

The report showed that there was strong interest amongst potential customers in purchasing the new product and which technical solution was preferred, but that the launch should be delayed for two years to allow time for a critical technical barrier to be overcome. Two key customers groups expressing highest interest were also identified as initial marketing targets.
