Project management
A partner is responsible for overall management of each project. This involves:
- quality control of all questionnaires and output obtained
- editing of all reports submitted to the client
- ensuring that work is delivered to agreed milestones
- primary client liaison throughout the project
The Senior Consultant leading the research team is responsible for the fieldwork management on a day-to-day basis.
Quality control measures
A 5-point quality control check is carried out for each project, as follows.
- Independent edit of draft questionnaire to check all research issues are addressed adequately.
- Quality check of initial pilot interviews, edit questionnaire as appropriate.
- Quality check of completed questionnaires throughout the project to check that consistent findings are emerging, and remedy any deficiencies.
- A check is made on the type of organisations and respondents interviewed, and the refusal rate to ensure that a valid sample is achieved.
- Independent edit of all interim and final reports for clarity, consistency and depth of argument.
Delivery control
A project plan is prepared for every project, clearly identifying the key stages of the project and the key delivery milestones.
Strong management of the research resources ensures that additional resources can be brought in to address any unforeseen problems so that key delivery deadlines are met.
Client liaison
The project manager liaises closely with the client throughout the project.
A flexible approach in our planning system allows us to provide interim findings at an early stage if urgent feedback is needed.
